Howard F. Stroik, 81, of Amherst, died on Saturday May 7, 2011.

Howard was born on Sept. 9, 1929, the son of Frank and Agnes (nee Loftis) Stroik.

Howard is survived by two sons, Michael (Jacquelyn) Stroik of Slinger and Patrick (Krisann Dailey) Stroik of Marion; one daughter, Juliann (Mike) Jape of Waupaca; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gary Stroik, Ken Stroik and Tom (Kathy) Stroik; two sisters, Rita Plowman and Edith (Chuck) Quimby; one sister-in-law, Betty Glisch; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes Stroik; his wife, Marion Stroik; one son, George Stroik; two brothers, Greg and Richard Stroik; and three sisters, Audrey Lohman, Alice Lepinski and Dorothy Kasper.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday May 12, at 11 a.m. at the St. James Catholic Church in Amherst. The Rev. Robert Pedretti will officiate, with burial to follow in the St. Jame's Catholic Cemetery.
