Dr. James A. Andrew, 77, of Havana died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. He was born May 24, 1925, in Peru, Ind., the son of John R. and Dallie Julian Andrew. He married Jean Bryan in 1948 in Springfield. Dr. Andrew was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II and a dentist. He was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Havana, Havana Lodge 88 AF&AM, Ansar Shrine of Springfield; Peoria Dental Society, Consistory and Jesters in Springfield. Survivors: wife, Jean; four sons, John J. Andrew of Havana, Tom Andrew of Bath and Greg and James Andrew, both of Pekin; a daughter, Mary Maxwell of Bonita Springs, Fla.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Ledgett of Chicago. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Havana, the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery. Hurly Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
