He was born in Lake Charles and resided here most of his life. He was an accomplished musician and guitar player. He was a graduate of Barbe High School and also attended McNeese State University. He worked for Duhon Pump Service as a pump technician. He also served his country as a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Stegall Duhon of Kentucky; step daughter, Melissa Shelton of Kentucky; step son, Robert Clifton of Sulphur; brother, Mitchell Duhon and wife, Clarice of Lake Charles; 4 step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Omah Duhon and a sister, Carolyn Duhon Scalisi.
His Memorial Service will be 4 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will begin Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. and continue until the start of service. Burial will be in Burleson-Duhon Cemetery.
