Bernice A. Ratcliffe, 70, of Glade Hill, passed away Friday, November 21, 1997 at her home. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Elsie A. Doss (Dumpy). She is survived by two daughters Ann R. Hunt of Anderson, S.C. and Clara R. Fralin (Janie) of Roanoke; five sons, Charlie B. Jr. (Butch) of Wirtz, Stedman E. (Teddy) Ratcliffe of Hardy, John W. (Billy) Ratcliffe of Boones Mill, Gary C. Ratcliffe of Roanoke, Barry J. Ratcliffe of San Francisco, Calif.; one brother, Noel W. Allman of Glade Hill; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, November 24, 1997 from the Lynch Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Long officiating. Burial will following the Allman Family Cemetery, Glade Hill. Arrangements by Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
