Emerald Gerald Adair was born April 20, 1893 in Montague, Texas; the son of John Calvin and Ophelia Adair.
He came to Wyoming in 1916. On August 23, 1918 he married Emma C. O'Brien. Two children were born to this union, both of whom survived him.
Survivors included his wife, Emma; daughter, Mrs. Adolph (Marcia) Amunson of Sacramento, California; son, Emerald James "Bud" Adair of College Park, Georgia and several grandchildren.
