Funeral for Larry Donnell Gildon, 44, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Pentecostal House of Prayer with the Rev. A.C. Strong officiating.

Buaial will be in Decatur City Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Mr. Gildon died Thursday, August 8, 2002, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born August 15, 1957, in Morgan County to Nathaniel Gildon and Amanda Gildon. The Calhoun Community College graduate attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Louisville, Ky. He was assistant supervisor at Sweet Sue in Athens.

Survivors include his wife, Sherrie Russell Gildon; one son, Larry Donnell Gildon Jr of Decatur; one daughter, Brittany Stover of Decatur; one step-daughter, Holly Russell of Decatur; six brothers, Nathan Gildon, Calvin Rice, Bobby Gildon and Laron Gildon, all of Decatur; Byron Gildon and Myron Gildon, both of Louisville; and two sisters, Alfreda Tucker and Elfreda Tucker, both of Louisville.

Pallbearers will be Edmond Flowers, Terry White, Ray Watkins, Christopher Holyfield and Dejuan Garrett.
