She was preceded in death by her son, Alfred D. Perry Jr.
Winifred is survived by son, Charles L. Perry; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Perry; grandchildren, Debbie Gansel (Greg), Cheryl Lee, Kathy Cameron (Tim), Kim Scranton and Michael Perry; 8 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Mefford worked for J.C. Penney from 1933-1935. She then worked for Poinsettia Dairy in 1936 and remained there until 1943. Following that, she went to work for Hillsborough County Draft Board #5 in 1943 and retired from Hillsborough County Board of Public Instruction after 34 years of service in 1980. She worked as the DoSS office manager at the Bayside Building and then the Henderson Building during her tenure with Hillsborough County.
A funeral service will take place at 1 PM on Monday, February 7, 2011, at First Church of God, with Pastor Larry Mobley officiating. The family will receive friends from noon-1 PM at the church. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
