Born June 25, 1920, in Davie County, Mrs. Ijames was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Versie Chamberland Carter. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Survivors include husband James C. Ijames; sons James E. Ijames of Timberville, Va., Gary M. Ijames of Mocksville and John C. Ijames and wife Jennifer of Fredricksburg, Va.; daughters Debra A. Wilson and husband Jerry of Mocksville, Eula F. Sievers and husband Timothy of Creiders, Va.; brother Jack Carter of Virginia Beach, Va.; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother Thomas Carter. Service : Graveside, 11 a.m. Wednesday, Legion Memorial Park with the Rev. Shelby Harbour officiating.
