The Intelligencer

Angela Marie Felt of Doylestown, formerly of Holland, passed away with family by her side Monday, June 21, 2010, at Chandler Hall Hospice Center in Newtown. She was 59.

She was the beloved wife of 39 years to Leland G. Felt.

Born in a mountain village near Naples, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Adele Quartararo. She came to the U.S. in 1955, settling in Springfield, N.J., and then Berkeley Heights, N.J.

Angela was a 1968 graduate of Union Catholic Regional High School in Scotch Plains, N.J. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Kean University, and her Master of Arts degree from Arcadia University.

She was a school librarian with the Bensalem Township School District working in both Neil Armstrong Middle School and most recently, at Samuel K. Faust Elementary School. She previously worked at Holland Junior High School in the Council Rock School District.

Angela was a former Bucks County Republican Committee Woman, and a former vice president of Soroptimist International, Indian Rock chapter.

She shared many travel adventures at home and abroad with her family. She was an extraordinary cook who loved entertaining friends and family. She also enjoyed the comfort of a good book.

Angela was a devoted and loving wife and mother who dedicated herself always to her family. She had a gift for seeing the best in everyone and was truly loved by those who knew her for her genuine, kind, empathic and caring nature. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, the many friends who loved her, and the dozens who called her their best friend.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Bryan J. Felt and his wife, Tara L., of New Providence, N.J., and Meredith L. Felt and her fiance, Steven Lafferty, of Langhorne; her grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle and Kelsey Felt; and a sister, Maria Sorrentino of Asti, Italy.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, and from 10 a.m. until her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown. Rite of Committal will be at Doylestown Cemetery, Doylestown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her may be made to the Angela M. Felt Memorial Library Fund for Samuel K. Faust Elementary School, P.O. Box 10, Buckingham, PA 18912.
