Lon was the son of Henry Percy and Ida Susan Jackson. He married his 1st wife Laura H Reynolds in Roane County on 19 Jan. 1912 . They had 3 daughters, Anna Ruth, Mellie Juanita and Mary Jean. Only Mary Jean survived infancy.
Lon worked first as a farm laborer on his father's farm, then as a house carpenter and later as a mechanic in electrical.
Laura died in 1930 and Lon married Lona Smith in Roane County on 31 Jan 1931. Together they had at least four children, 3 sons, Johnnie Lewis, Bill and Wilburn and a daughter Betty.
Lon died September 1986.
