IN MEMORIAM,

Obituary for Kevin Lee Browne

Kevin Lee Browne, 34, of Farmington, passed away unexpectedly on Monday March 21, 2011. Born on December 17, 1976 in Hartford he was the son of Kathy Browne.

Anyone who knows Kevin understands how much of an incredible father, friend and active member of the community he was. Spending time with his boys was what he loved to do the most. He was a mentor to not only his children but to those who he coached in basketball at his Sunday clinic as well as those he coached in football in Ellington. He enjoyed beating everyone he knew while playing Poker or Spades and that competitive edge could be seen on Pool Thursday with his league and in bowling and in all things that he did. He was also fearless and didn't let the fact that he couldn't swim hold him back from tubing and water skiing. But no matter what, he put the needs of others before his and his generous heart could be seen as he helped his mom find teams for Nutmeg Big Brothers / Big Sisters Bowl For Kids Sake and volunteered for "We Are the Children" during the Christmas Holiday. Kevin will be truly missed by all those who knew him.

He leaves his two children Austin Browne – Maragnano and Kevin Redler; and special companion Jennifer Redler; his brothers A.J. and Arien Wilkerson; his devoted uncle Herbert Browne, III; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Herbert Browne, Jr. and his wife Barbara.

A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on Monday March 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Sanctuary of Faith & Glory Church, 752 Bloomfield Ave, Windsor. Burial will follow at West Cemetery, Plainville. Family and friends may gather on Sunday March 27, 2011 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to CHET Advisor and mailed to Spurstone Wealth Management, 90 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, CT 06089 to benefit the college education of his children Austin and Kevin.
