HUGO, OK--Clara M. Black, 78, of the Golden Age Nursing Home in Hugo, OK, died Friday, February 18, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were set for Monday, Feb. 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lampton-Mills Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Stone will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

Clara was born on April 28, 1904 in Hunt County, TX, a daughter of William Thomas Pruett and Louella Samantha Harry. She married Roy William Black on Januaray 10, 1924 in Boswell, OK. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1968.

She retired in 1975 after working 30 years as a nurse at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. She lived in Paris from 1924 to 1974, before moving to Hugo. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Donald Roy (Charlcey) Black of Irving; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jo (Sheridan) Baer of Hugo, OK and Mrs. Dorothy Marie (Charles S.) Vaughan of Paris; one brother, Thomas Pruett of Garland; one sister, Derotha Bush of Hugo; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
