She was born July 20, 1917, in Monongalia, West Virginia, the daughter of Fred Raymond Neely and Winnie (Cordray) Neely.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Johnson; her husband Otha Johnson; two brothers, Charles Neely and Alston Neely; and two sisters, Pauline Bradley and Dot Scott.
Catherine is survived by two grandsons: Kurt R. Johnson and wife Rosemary and Eric M. Johnson all of Uniontown, Pa.; four great grandsons: Kurt Johnson Jr., Brandon Johnson, Cory Johnson, Tyler Johnson; one great granddaughter, Michaela Johnson; one great great granddaughter, Madison; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mary and Charles Cook.
The family would like to give "Special Thanks" to the Staff of the Blue Amber Country Home who gave great care to Catherine through her last days.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Monday, July 13, 2009, from 10 until 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home followed by a Service celebrating Catherine's life at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Brown officiating.
Entombment will follow in The Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
