Bob was a good man! He was a wonderful husband to his wife Helen (Tilk) for over 40 years. He was a wonderful father to Kenneth, Debbie, Timothy, Cynthia and Carrie. Bob was a good son and brother. Bob was the brother of Nina Margaret (Ronnie) Reinhold, Francis Hurst, Raymond Jenkins, Shirley Ann Qualls, Sherry Loniewski and Matthew Jenkins.
Bob accepted Jesus as his Savior and is now walking on streets of gold!
Bob was a master electrician with Detroit Edison for over 30 years. Bob was an honorable, decent and very good man! He was a great provider for his wife and children. Bob worked for the City of Dearborn, Michigan for over 20 years and retired with a pension - while simultaneously working for Detroit Edison during the day. His wife and kids were the world to Bob. He had a good heart and a great sense of humor.
Bob Jenkins was the best man at the wedding of Matthew Jenkins and Adelle Marie Costa on Sunday May 20th, 1984. At the wedding reception Bob came to the microphone during the toast and said with a huge grin: "I'm Bob - the BEST man - as usual"! Everyone laughed.
He was a lifetime cigarette smoker, and died much too soon after battling lung cancer. He was 61 years of age.
Bob, you really are the best man as usual, perfection in Heaven! You are loved and greatly missed, my brother!
