Betty Barnett, a resident of Joshua Tree for 17 years, died May 1, 2010, in Palm Springs. She was 63 years old.
A native of Brooke Park, Ohio, she was born Dec. 1, 1944.
Mrs. Barnett was known as the Tax Lady for the business she owned in the Hi-Desert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Eugene Halstead.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Barney Barnett; sisters Joyce, Jennifer and Pat; brothers Bob and Tim Halstead; grandchildren Ryan Patrick, Skylar Nichole, Caitlyn Elizabeth and Sydney Garwin.
Services will be private.
