George Dixon Adams was born in Iowa on June 5, 1877 and died at Rusk TX Nov. 5, 1952. He went to Rusk about a week ago to be with his daughter, Mrs. Lonnie Spivey. He had been in ill health for several months. He was married to Eunice Mallory (Malloy) of Perkins in 1896 and they made their home there for a number of years. From there they moved to Ellis Co. and to the Gotebo community in 1918 where they lived until his death. He is survived by his wife; eight children, Earl of Foss, John of Duncan, Mrs. Bertie Spivey of Rusk TX, Bert of Dover, Alva of Gotebo, Orville of Oklahoma City, Gib of Hobart and G.D., Jr. of Gotebo.
