VERONA — G. June (Randolph) Berry, 81, widow of Walter A. Berry, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at her residence with her children by her side.

She was born June 21, 1929, in Madison, Ind., a daughter of the late Morris Virgil and Mabel (McLear) Randolph.
Mrs. Berry was a homemaker. She was a member of Verona United Methodist Church and Modern Woodman of America.
Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mickey and Susan Berry of Charlotte, N.C., and John and Jennifer Berry of Richmond; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna Poe of Greenville, Darlene and Brian Viel Sr. of Staunton and Connie and Johnnie Breeden of Crimora; three brothers, Richard Randolph of New Hope, George Randolph of Culpeper and Dennis Randolph of Mount Sidney; a sister, Mildred Harmon Devale of Harrisonburg; her mother-in-law, Catherine Berry Evans; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband of 54 years who died May 26, 2001, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris and William Randolph; and a son-in-law, Chuck Poe.
A celebration of her life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011, in Verona United Methodist Church by the Rev. Matthew Bates Jr. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Joe Lucus, Jerry Coffman, Rodney Buzzard, Roosevelt Rowe, Randy Patterson and Mike Cash.
Honorary pallbearers will be special friends at JCPenney Salon in Staunton.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Henry Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mackenzie Woodward Fund, NCSECU, 123 New Bern Place, Raleigh, N.C. 27601 for June's great-grandchild with Down's Syndrome.
