Environmentalist. He was one of Argentina's most renowned naturalists, being a reference for threatened species issues and problems of protected natural areas in this country. At just 13, he founded and led an environmental group: Association for Conservation of nature Argentina. Between 1982 and 1989 held various positions in the Technical Department of the Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina, from where he launched working groups which emerged researchers, naturalists and conservationists who now occupy important positions in govern-ment institutions and NGOs. He wrote numerous articles on ornithology, mammalogy and conservation, and several books, including: "Wild mammals in the archipelago of Tierra del Fuego" (1993), "Those who leave", "Fauna missionary" (1996) and "Guides nature reserves in Argentina" (2005 and 2006). His last wish was that a lock of her hairs be scattered in his beloved park Urugua-I, and who also be plant native trees in his memory.
