Obit:

CULLOM -- Lester A. Attig, 86, a retired Charolette farmer, died at 2:30 pm. Tuesday at Fairbury Hospital after an extended illness.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Charlotte United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Glenn S. Garvin officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Stewart Funeral Home and at the church after 10 a.m. Friday.

Mr. Attig was born April 11, 1891 near Wing, a son of Daniel and Anna (Ellinger) Attig. He married Millie Flessner Feb 9 1916, Chatsworth.

Three sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Attig was a member and trustee of the Charlotte United Methodist Church. He had been a Sunday School teacher for 40 years.

He was a former representative of the Pontiac Mutual Insurance Co., a former school director, a member of the Farm Bureau for more than 50 years and had lived in the Charlotte area for more than 70 years.
