Gayla (Gail) Diane Barnes aka Sista born January 27, 1964 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Preston and Martha Guidry, she departed this life May 13, 2011 at the age of 47 in a local hospital. She graduated from Spiro High School and attended college in Tahlequah Oklahoma, she married Donald Dewayne Barnes in September 1985, she was a stay at home mother, wife, she loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, watching her OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys and keeping up with the newest movies. She is preceded in death by her father, Preston Guidry, mother Martha Guidry, Grandmother Lillie Mae Delt-Triplett, brother Johnny Guidry, brother Preston C. Guidry, sister Consuella Guidry, and nephew Kevin Guidry Jr. She is survived by; Husband, Donald Barnes of Spiro, Oklahoma, Son Jeremy Barnes and wife Jessica their children Amya, Justice, Jesse and Ashlyn of Spiro, Oklahoma, Daughter Lillie Lyall and husband Richard, their children Maleena and Kadence of Spiro, Oklahoma, three brothers, Kevin Guidry and wife Tonya of Midlothian, Virginia, William (Bill) Guidry and wife Mona of Spiro, Oklahoma and Tony Guidry and friend Marcy Barnes of Spiro, Oklahoma, one sister LaSonia Bray and husband James of Fort Smith, Arkansas, nieces Alicia, Alexa, Jahmarla, Jahneidrah, Tanika, nephews Michael, Preston, Kalib, Dante and Keajon and a host of family and friends. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Simpson and Rev. Hooks officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Coffee Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
