Caddie J. Baldwin
Caddie Joann Baldwin, 83, of Waldron died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Waldron Health & Rehab Center in Waldron.
Born Oct. 27, 1927, in Rockport, she was the daughter of Howard and Irma (Winter) Rumpel. She married Virgil Baldwin in 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Survivors include sons, Byron (wife, Barbara) Baldwin of Baltimore, Md., and Curtis Baldwin of Indianapolis; sister, Joyce Rumpel of Fairland; and grandchildren, Jessica Baldwin and Chris Baldwin.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Baldwin had lived in this area since 1996, having previously lived in Indianapolis.
She graduated in 1945 from Chrisney High School in Chrisney and attended Fall Creek Baptist Church in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Baldwin had been a factory worker employed by Western Electric of Indianapolis for many years, retiring in 1980.
Caddie loved antiques, going to yard sales and attending stock car races.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or donor's favorite charity in care of the funeral home.
