DERIDDER -- Funeral services for Donald Ray Alston, 66, of Pineville, will be at 3 p.m. today, Sept. 25, in Hixson Funeral Home. R.C. Franks will officiate. Burial will be in Newlin Cemetery in Singer. Visitation is from 8 a.m.
Mr. Alston died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, in the Pineville hospital. He was a native of Singer and had lived there for most of his life. He worked as a driver for Johnson Electric and was a member of Beehive Methodist Church in Singer. Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Reed of Sulphur; two brothers, Jack Alston and Morrill Alston, both of Singer; two sisters, Bobbie Spivey and Arlene Cornwell, both of DeRidder; and three grandchildren.
