With the 43rd Cosby saw actiob at the battles of Iuka, Corinth, The siege of Vicksburg, Resaca, New Hope Church, Kennesaw Mountain and Atlanta.
After the war Lemuel P. Cosby lived in Howard Co., Texas. Was Married to Margaret Elizabeth Johnson raised a very large family and died there March 1, 1921.
