Mayo, who died Monday, was retired from the United States Navy. He also had five years of service with the U.S. Post Office.
Mr. Mayo was Past Commander of VFW Post #577 in Tulsa.
Survivors include: his wife, Yoshiko; two sons, James and Robert, all of the home; mother, Mrs. James M. (Mary) Mayo; brother and sister-in-law, James Jr. and Frances, all of Jenks; sisters, Mrs. Sam (Pat) Sanco, Wagoner, Mrs. Bob (Susan) Strain, and Mrs. Sally Freeman of Jenks, and Mrs. Mike (Betsy) Smith, Okay.
Services and interment were under the direction of Moore's Southlawn.
