Lucille Jeannette (Pigeon) Maynard, 87, formerly of Brockton, died May 8, 2011. She was the loving wife of the late Francis J. Maynard. Lucille is survived by her children, Jean-Francois, David and his wife Rita, Dianne Reardon and Thomas and his wife Elizabeth. She was the "Memere" of 17 grandchildren, including the late Deborah Reardon; and 33 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Roland Pigeon and his wife Pauline and the late Arthur Pigeon Jr., Edgar Pigeon and Theresa (Pigeon) (Licursi) (Kinney) Marston. Lucille was the co-owner of Hilltop Gardens and Greenhouse. She loved cooking, canning, bingo, cards and her annual trips to Hawaii. She was the ultimate cook and host for all family reunions. Lucille lived most of her life in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School in 1941. As an active member of the former Sacred Heart Church, she participated in the St. Anne Sodality and the school Parents Guild. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 12, 2011, 4-8 p.m. in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton. Her funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday, May 13, 2011, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at Christ the King Parish at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucilles name to Life Care Center, Raynham, Patient Activity Department, 546 South St. East, Raynham, MA 02767.
