D. G. Colvin Dies Today In Monroe.
D. G. Colvin died today at 6 a.m. in St. Francis Hospital in Monroe at the age of 78. He died following a long illness.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 in the Cook Baptist Church with the Rev. A. H. Johnson, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will following Cook Cemetery under the direction of Spears Funeral Home.
Survivors include nine children, Thomas Colvin of Brownfield, Texas, Mrs. Kathryn Higgins and Mrs. Virginia Brooks of Monroe, James R. Colvin, John C. Colvin, Mrs. Faye Gullatt, Mrs. Dorothy Goins, Edwin Colvin and Artis Colvin, all of Ruston; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
