He served in the voluntary National Guard during World War II. For many years, he had been a poultry farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Gordon) Boulter of Knox; three stepsons, Douglas G. and Edward P. Littlefield both of East Newport, and John Merry III of Swanville, 3 daughters, Jean & Hartley Carmichael of Bradley, Marlene & Warren Sparulding of Freedom and Paulette Boulter of Belfast; two stepdaughters, Nancy Scott of Searsmont, and Sarah Nickerson of Searsport; sister, Georgia and George McCorrison of Orono; two grandchildren whom he faised, Jolene Poirier and Barry Parks; 10 other grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is remembered by a special friend, Roxanne Philbrick.
He was predeceased by his first wife of 47 years, Ada Archer, in 1984; brother Zina Boulter, in 1977; sister, Goldie Boulter, in 1940.
Funeral services will be held at Rackliffe Funeral Home in Belfast with the Rev. Allan Swanson and Bradley Spaulding officiating. Interment will be in East Knox Cemetery. (Republican Journal)
