Joan Adams, 2, was traveling with her mother as second class passengers aboard the Lusitania. Joan and her mother were thrown in to the sea and managed to find a piece of wreckage to hold on to until a lifeboat pulled them in. Unfortunately little Joan has suffered too much from the effects and died in the lifeboat. Her mother kissed her goodbye and laid her in to the sea.
