MIQUELA CARRASCO

Services for Miquela N. Carrasco, 82, Rte. 1, Box 194, are pending with Denton Funeal Home. She died at the local hospital Saturday.

She was born in Balmorhea, Texas, March 30, 1903, and moved to the Otis area in 1942. She married Miguel Carrasco in 1923 in Balmorhea. She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Miguel Carrasco, Otis; five sons, Alberto, of Hays, Kan., and Joe, Jesus, Mike and Frank, all of Carlsbad; five daughters, Isabel Tobar, Juanita Sapien, Lucy trujillo and Mickie Villa, all of Carlsbad, and Maria Luna, San Jose Calif.; her mother, Bartola Matta, Pecos, Texas; one brother, Nicholas Navarrette, San Jose, Calif.; five sisters, Gollita Salcido, Dinuba, Calif., Susie Sterling, Ysleta, Texas, and Anita Lyles, Maria Briones, and Juanita Hernandez, all of Pecos, Texas; 47 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Rosary for Miquela N. Carrasco, 82, Rt. 1, Box 194, will be said at 7 p.m. tonight in the Denton Funeral Home chapel. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the San Jose Catholic Church. The Rev. Mark Sutton and the Rev. Jose Reyes will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Michael Carrasco, Joe Carrasco, Mark Trujillo, Edward Carrasco, Jr., Alonzo Acosta and Poli Franco.
