Mike Brogoto, 93, Kansas City, MO, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 E. Missouri Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Mike was born November 29, 1917 in Chicago, IL to Dominick and Phyllis Brogoto. He moved to Kansas City, MO with his family in 1926. He worked for Corn Products for many years, and owned 606 Club for 10 years before he retired. Following his retirement, his passion was working with his nephew Joseph and grandson Joe at Brocato's Auto Service. He also was a longtime doorman for Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Josephine Tittone; brothers, Phil Brogoto, Victor Brogoto, James Brogoto, Joseph Brocato Sr.; his beloved wife, Lillian Brogoto; daughter, Joan Phyllis Brogoto; and grandson, Vincent Paul Brickner. He is survived by his daughters, Joan Brickner and Phyllis Brogoto; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cathy Brogoto; grandchildren, Lori Brickner, Joseph Brogoto, Danny and Patty Calvert, Rodney and Lisa Calvert, Michael and Michelle Brogoto, John Haggard, Jennifer and Shaun Bullock, Tina Michelle and Wen Sun, Michael Brogoto, Anthony Brogoto; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Barbarotta; sister-in-law, Rose Brogoto; and many nieces and nephews.
