Mrs. Waller Evans Jr. of Lorena received word that her uncle, E.F. (Sam) Baxter, 60, died at his home in Montgomery, Ala., at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. The body will be brought to Waco where funeral arrangements are pending at Wilkinson and Hatch Funeral Home. Mr. Baxter was born in Rockdale. He was a banker at Eddy and Chilton before moving to Montgomery 10 years ago. He was a lumber broker there. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Oiuda Jenks of Fairfax, Ca., and one grandson, also of Fairfax. Waco News-Tribune, April 2, 1958
