Pearl Bean
Mrs. Pearl Hazel bean, a resident longtime deputy in the Adair County treasurers office, died Tuesday, May 30, at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell at the age of 92.
Mrs. Bean, born Aug. 6, 1896, in Stilwell, Indian Territory to James Ross and Elizabeth Stevens Ross, was married to Mac Bean on Dec. 10, 1915 in Kansas City, KS. He died July 7, 1969.
Mrs. Bean was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James C. Bean and Dale E. Bean.
Survivors include: two sons, Mac C. Bean, Topeka, KS, and Cullen Robert Bean, Tahlequah, two daughters, Heloise Tompkins and Atha Jean Pettigrew; both of Stilwell; one brother, George J. Ross, Stilwell, one sister, Ruth Meek, Canyonville, OR, seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday afternoon in the Hart Memorial Chapel with the Rev. G.H. Crittenden officiating.
Interment was in the Stilwell City Cemetery.
