Evelyn Virginia Mayes Malbone, 79, of the 4700 block of Atterbury St., died Nov. 1, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Malbone, a native of Page County, Va., was the widow of Andrew K. Malbone Sr., her husband of 28 years. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and Sherwood Forest Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Doris E. Malbone of Norfolk, Joyce Wolford of Haviland, Ohio, Cathy Lester of Chesapeake; one son, Andrew Malbone Jr. of Rileyville, Va.; two brothers, George R. Mayes and Franklin P. Mayes; two granddaughters; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.
The funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Donations may be made to the church in her memory.
