Harry M.Faith,80, a retired Illiopolis funeral director,died at 12:50 pm Wednesday in his residence,1160 Cottage Hill Ave. He had long been ill of complications.
Born in Oakland, Md,April 9, 1861,he came to Illinois with his parents in 1871, settling near Warrensburg. He married Lissie Wade there Dec.18, 1884.
For 20 years,Mr.Faith operated a funeral home in Illiopolis retiring in 1921. He came to Decatur six years ago from Macon. He was a member of the Methodist church of Moweaqua and of South Macon lodge No 467, A.F.& AM in Macon.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter,Mrs. H.H.Elslage,Decatur and a son Joseph H.Faith, a fueral director in Monticello. There is one brother,George Faith,Warrensburg and a sister,Mrs.WA.Fisher,Chicago.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 pm Friday in the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home with burial in Fairlawn mausoleum. Friends may call at the chapel after noon today.
