Viola Mae Adwell, 94, of Watseka and formerly of Milford, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Watseka Rehab & Health Care Center.

Viola was born September 18, 1916 in Silver Lake, Kansas, a daughter of William and Ella Lewis Bailey. She married Robert R. Adwell on March 9, 1946 in Wheaton and he preceded her in death on November 10, 1985.

Surviving are one daughter, Jayne (Jerry) Frerichs of Milford; one son, Thomas (Linda) Adwell of Milford; one brother, Ollie (Peggy) Bailey of Hoopeston; one sister, Shirley (Rex) Consellor of Topeka, Kansas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Tom and Paul Bailey; four sisters, Mary Norris, Martha Trumble, Leona March and Betty Perryman; and one son, Donald Wayne Henke.

Mrs. Adwell was a member of the Nazarene Church in Milford.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Milford. Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Watseka Rehab & Health Care Center.
