Mrs. A. Bragg Rites
Saturday
Mrs. Alice Murfree Bragg, age 68, of 420 North Spring Street, died yesterday at Rutherford hospital after a four-day illness.
Services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at Woodfin Funeral home. Conducting will be Revs. Hubert Covington, L. S. Sedberry and Dr. Robert Palmer.
Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Bragg was born and reared in Rutherford County. She was the daughter of the late Hal and Mary Lytle Murfree. In 1909 she married Thompson Bragg who died in 1938.
She is survived by one daughter, Miss Mary Elizabeth Bragg, one son, Joe Thompson, both of Murfreesboro; one daughter-in-law, Reubent Bragg Nelson of Clarksville; one brother, James B. Murfree, San Francisco; two sisters, Mrs. John F. Craig, Nashville and Mrs. D. W. Butler, Texarkana, Texas.
Honorary pallbearers will be the elders and deacons of Cumberland Presbyterian Church; Hugh Gambill, Doc Watson Butler, Herman Rhodes, Fred Mitchell, Dr. J. B. Black, Dr. A. J. Jamison, and Clarance Cummings.
Active pallbearers will be: Ben Reeves, John D. Reeves, Dr. Henry M. Carney, Billy Bragg, O. M. Stump, Sam Bragg, Charles Bragg.
Mrs. Bragg was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
