HAMPTON - Lucy Elizabeth Baldwin, 76, died Saturday, July 26, 2008
Born in Swords Creek, VA, she was one of twelve children born to
Matthew S. and Ollie Dye Tuggle,
Lucy moved to Hampton in 1952 where she worked several years fo
the City of Hampton as a school bus driver. She then went to work for
Hampton General Hospital in the Admissions Department. She was a
faithful member of Langley Baptist Church for over 45 years and wa
a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Harman "Hack" Baldwin
brothers, Claude, Cecil, Ed and Jake; and sister, Trula. She i
I survived by her children, Gary A. Baldwin (Melanie), Randall H
Baldwin (Jeanie) and Laura "Lolly" Huff (Richard) all of Hampton
sisters, Dorothy Meade, Audrey Dye and Beulah Rolen; brothers, Glenn Tuggle, Bert
Tuggle and Johnny Tugglej and five grandchildren, Randall P, Baldwin (Connie), Sha
Andleton, Wesley Huff and Megan and Amy Baldwin,
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 PM Tuesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Horn
in downtown Hampton. Lucy's life will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday at Langle
Baptist Church by Rev. Judd Nuckols. Interment will follow at Parklawn,
