Sarah was married to Henry Tuckness in 1817 in Maury County, Tennessee. They had eight children, seven of them before Henry died on October 5, 1834. The last child, my great great grandfather, was born the next year. The children were Thomas Jefferson Tuckness born in 1819, Sarah Jane Tuckness born 1823, William James Tuckness born 1824, Thomas Henry Tuckness born 1826, Elizabeth Jane Tuckness born 1830, John Wesley Tuckness born 1832, Harriet Tuckness born 1832 and Francis Asbury Tuckness born 1835.

2016-09-01 - Update. I have recently decided that Sarah's maiden name was probably not Sims. As a result, the dates of her birth and death may not be right either. I have found another Sarah on FAG with the same dates and that Sarah is married to two different men, neither one a Tuckness. I have conversed with the keeper of that memorial, and his proof has swayed my opinion. I leave this hear for now as is, but may come back and changer her maiden name to Unknown.

Gravesite Details

Information I have says she was buried here. I know she died in Pleasant Hill, as well. The problem is that apparently she has no headstone, or one with no inscription on it now, because she is not listed in the Polk County Cemetery books.
