Robert Charles Harrington, Jr. 1942-2011 Robert Charles Harrington, Jr., 69, passed away on April 22, 2011 in Fort Myers, Florida. He was born April 10, 1942 in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., to the late Robert (Sr.) and Delores (Nimons) Harrington. He was a graduate of St. Mary Academy High and was a veteran of the US Army. Robert worked for Dodge Fiber in Hoosick Falls and also for the Childs Hospital and the Nelson House in Albany. He moved to Florida in 1989 and worked for Lee County School as cafeteria manager before retiring in July of 2010. He enjoyed his home and his best friends Tail and D.C. (which were his cats). Survivors include his sisters, Sandy McCart and Sue Hickey, both of Hoosick Falls; brother, William Harrington of Buford, Georgia and Peter of St. Johnsonville, N.Y.; special friend of 45 years, Don Marshall of Fort Myers; the love of his life, Nana Nimons; sister-in-law, Snookie Harrington, Kathy Harrington and brother-in-law, John Hickey and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and John Harrington and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Harrington. FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be a visitation on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, Florida. Funeral mass will be Thursday, 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers, Florida. Interment with military honors will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
