HENRY D. BILLS, 74, a former Dixon businessman died at 10:30 P.M. Monday (July 7, 1952) in Sherman hospital in Elgin. Mr. Bills had lived at Elgin since leaving Dixon in 1950. Mr. Bills and his family moved to Dixon in 1925, where he became a partner in the Keyes-Bills Realty Co. A few years later he bought the interest of Charles E. Keyes and the business became the Bills Realty Co. Before moving to Dixon, Mr. Bills was in the hardware implement business in Milledgeville for 25 years. He was a life member of the Masonic lodge in Milledgeville and received a 50 year pin from the lodge. He joined the Methodist Church at Milledgeville and upon moving he transferred his membership to the Dixon Methodist Church. Mr. Bills was always active in the church and had held many official positions.

Born October 16, 1877 on a farm north of Round Grove, Whiteside County, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Kendrich E. Bills. He married Clara E. Barthel on December 26, 1900. Surviving are his widow; a daughter Mrs. E. Arthur Hill, Elgin; a half sister, Mrs. Lucille Baker, Sterling and twin grandaughters. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Buckley-Staples funeral here with the Ref. Floyd E. Blewfield, former pastor of the Dixon Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Milledgeville.
