Myrna Sue (Boyd) Buster was born October 29, 1938 in Muskogee to Alva and Edith (Kinder) Boyd. She was a lifelong resident of Porter and graduated from Porter High School. She was a member of the Porter First Baptist Church. Myrna always enjoyed helping the people of Porter. She was the water clerk and treasurer for the town of Porter for more than 20 years. Myrna departed this life on Friday, April 29 in Wagoner at the age of 72 years and six months. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jack Boyd. Survivors include her husband, Lee Roy Buster, of Porter; three sons and daughters-in-law, twins, Bret Buster, and wife, Leah Ann, of Wagoner, and Bart Buster, and wife, Valerie, of Oktaha, and Brad Buster and wife, Denise, of Spring Hill, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Josh Buster, Dylan Buster and Austin Buster; a brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Margaret Boyd, of Porter; a sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and Coy Armstrong, of Porter; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 2 at the Porter First Baptist Church with the Reverend Charles Smith officiating and under the direction of Mallett Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Coy Armstrong, Donny Armstrong, Terry Hendrix, Mike Parent, Gary Todd and Ronnie Willhite. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter.
