DEATH OF MRS. MARY GOFF

The friends of Mrs. Mary Goff were deeply grieved when they learned on Wednesday morning that she was no more. The announcement of her death did not come as a surprise for she had been in failing health for some time. Her strong will power and courageous spirit would not succumb to disease however, and she refused to take her bed, until just a short time before the end. She suffered much, but bore it with patience and resignation. Death came as a sweet release from her suffering on Tuesday night. Her daughters, who survive her, are Mrs. Harvill of Sibley, Mrs. Clarence Rudy of Shreveport, and Misses Winnie and Amy Goff all of whom were at her bedside when she died. She has several grand children. Rev. Jordan conducted the funeral service at the residence, in the presence of a large assemblage of sorrowing relatives and friends. Many beautiful floral offerings were the tribute of friends. Mr. and Mrs. Harvill and children, Mrs. Rudy and Mrs. Madden of Simsboro, were the out-of-town relatives present. To the bereaved family, the sympathy of Arcadia friends is extended.
