Mrs. Annie C. Anderson died on Saturday, October 26, at the age of 89, at the home of her son, Thoren C. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was the oldest resident of Oak City and had lived her entire life there. She had been widowed for 65 years. She is survived by her son and two daughters, Mrs. Lettie Dutson of Oak City and Mrs. Christianne Dutson of Leamington. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 29, in the Oak City Ward chapel and interment was in the Oak City cemetery. The large gathering to pay their last respects and the beautiful floral offerings, attested to the thigh regard held for Mrs. Anderson by all who knew her.
