Novie Lucille Mann "GAGA" peacefully passed in her sleep on May 5, 2009. Novie was born in Canton, Texas on April 2, 1915. Novie married Irby L. Mann, the one and only man she ever loved. Novie had several important life passions; Jesus, family, golf, fishing and the San Antonio Spurs. Novie never met a stranger. She took up golf late in life but quickly fell in love with the game. She became President of the Central Texas Women's Golf Association. She was also Women's Club Champion of Glen Lakes Country Club in Dallas Texas and Women's Club Champion of Belvedere Country Club in Hot Springs Arkansas where she lived for eighteen years before moving to San Antonio in 1990 where she lived until her passing. She played the game until in her eighties. While physically she could no longer play, it remained one of her great passions. GAGA loved fishing from the time she was a little girl until she could no longer crawl into the boat. All of her family inherited a love for the outdoors from GAGA. Always a sports fan she spent the latter days of her life as a die- hard fan of the San Antonio Spurs. But most important of all was her love for Jesus and her family. She will leave a legacy of Grace to all that knew her. She knew her Savior in a very personal way and was comfortable living out that Grace in her daily life. Novie looked with great excitement to the time that Jesus would call her home yet content to finish the race strong. She looked forward to being reunited with her family that had passed before her. That included Irby L. Mann, her son Ronnie Mann, her son Dale Mann his wife Sandy and their children Andrea and Eric, her son Denny Mann and his wife Nena Mann. Novie is survived by her son David Mann his wife Dana of San Antonio Texas and their children Duncan Mann and wife Kendra of San Antonio; Courtney Mann of San Antonio; Irby Don Mann his wife Helen of Dallas Texas, their children Lori Turpin and her husband Jeff of Dallas Texas; Stacey Statsky and her husband David of Boerne Texas; John Mann and his wife Tracey of Grandbury Texas; and the daughter of Denny Mann, Melissa Mann of San Antonio Texas. GAGA is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. We thank God for the testimony of GAGA's life. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.SERVICESATURDAYMAY 9, 200911:00 A.M.PORTER LORINGNORTH CHAPEL.
