Viola C. Jackson was born in the state of New York, Dec. 14, 1852; removed to Steuben county in 1856; was married to David P. Dixon, August 21, 1871, and died at her home in Angola, Dec. 27, 1904, at the age of 52 years and 13 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, two children and a large circle of relatives and friends. She began the building of a Christian character in her early youth and her beautiful life has shed a broad influence upon her family and all those who came in contact with her. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a true friend. Although she loved her family and enjoyed her home, yet the call of the Master found her ready to obey. She has passed into the perfect life and waits for her loved ones to come.

Funeral services were held in the Christian church, of which she was a member, on Thursday afternoon, Elder Stauffer officiating.
