He was the brother of Ethel, Gladys and Mabel Atwood, [Memorial #34733103] and was the son of Albert Atwood and Hazel Kline of Great Barrington, Mass. where he resided his entire life. A graduate of Searles High School, he went to work for the Kimball Motor Dispatch Co. of Great Barrington and after that worked 40 years for the Reid's Cleaners in Great Barrington. A Mason, he was Past Master of Cincinnatus AF & AM and former District Deputy Grand Master and former Grand Marshall of the 16th Masonic District. Additionally he was a York Rite Mason and member of Mehla Temple Shrine. His life was dedicated to his family and masonry. With a boisterous personality and out going manner he had many friends.
