8th child of Thomas Marion Harp and Prudence (Masoner) Harp. "Young Harp" married Sarah Angeline Stevenson in Hamburg, AK, 1 Dec. 1865. It is not known just when Young and Angie Harp died but it must have been before 1873.

At the death of the couple, the surving son, Oliver "Ollie" Young Harp, was put in the care of Prudence Harp. Unpon her death, Ollie's care was given to Rufus Kelley Harp.

Military record: T.Y. Harp (also Y.Y. Harp) Pvt. Corporal Co. G. 17th Louisiana infantry. Enlisted 30 Sept 1861, Camp Moore. Rolls from Sept. 1861 to April 1862, Present. Roll dated May 23, 1862, Present. Re-enlisted at reorganization May Rolls from July 1862 to Feb. 1863, Present. Appears on Roll of Prisoner of War. Captured and Paroled at Vicksburg, Mississippi, Juy 4, 1863
