Nancy and James's son Isaac has a footstone that identifies him (Isaac) as the son of James & Nancy Elizabeth (Harrison) Barnes.

Wife of James Barnes, founder of Barnesville. Her half-sister Elizabeth Hall was married to James' brother David Barnes.

She is thought to have been born in Frederick, Maryland about 1775 (not verified).

The couple had three sons Isaac, James and Vachel and one daughter, Harriet Barnes.
