Peggie was the 13th of 14 children born to Daniel Ailus and Effie Mae (Hatley) Cox. She married William Leon Cox in 1955 and they were the parents of of two sons: Bobby Leon and William Dale.

Peggie Sue Eudy Cox 73, of Norwood, passed away Tuesday morning, April 26, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tony Parsons will officiate and burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 Saturday morning at Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cox was born May 13, 1937 in Stanly County. She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Effie Mae Hatley Eudy.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William Leon Cox of the home. Two sons, Bobby Leon Cox and wife Deborah of Marshville and William Dale Cox of Norwood. Four grandchildren, Steven Bobby Cox of Monroe, Christopher James Cox of Raleigh, Joseph Daniel Cox and wife Tabatha of Norwood and Abby Nicole Cox of Miami, Florida. One great-granddaughter, Marley Nevaeh Cox of Norwood. Three brothers, J. C. Eudy and Gaston Eudy of Albemarle and Melvin Eudy of Oakboro. Two sisters, Helen Burleson of High Point and Myrtle Mabry of Norwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials made to: Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
