She was the daughter of Charles Davis and Susan McJomsey Davis. Harriet married Solomon Hardesty October 30, 1851 in Boone County, IN. Solomon died August 8, 1875 in Urbana, IA. Harriet later married David Crow.

Directions to the Stowe Cemetery: From Elwood, NE go 7 miles south on US 283. Go west 10 miles on County Road 23S, also known as Stockville Rd. Go south along the section road approximately 3/4 mile. Cemetery is located on the east side of the section road between Sect. 17 & 18. Map location is W1/4 Sect. 17 T6N R24W.
